Summary
For this project, we were given a specific word and create ways to convey the word to the audience without using dialogue. The story was meant to represent something that could happen in 60 to 90 seconds real time.
Approach
My partner and I worked together and brainstormed a variety of ideas. We both filled out the brainstorming sheet with 15 slides. The idea was to create a scene where an illegal deal was going on. A lower in rank person had to pay the leader a certain amount of money. When the leader found about about his shortcomings, the leader disposed of the person with his bodyguard.
Storyboard
The story board helped us prepare for filming as it made it easier to follow a guideline. It also helped during filming, as we used it to decide what angles and shots we would film our slides with.
Editing
Analysis
I believe that my partner and I did a good job with filming and taking more than enough shots for the editing stage. We took multiple takes of each shot to have different versions of each shot while editing. This made the editing process a lot easier and quicker. I believe that my editing was also good. I used different strategies for editing and followed directions to make a minute-long scene that could be possible in real time.
Some flaws with the project was the storyboard. The original plan was to have 4 people in total part of the film. However, it was difficult to gather two other people, especially if those people have their own classes. So to go around this issue, my partner and I put on different outfits to represent different people.
